MAGNET COVE SCHOOL Friendly People Small Community Big Hearts DISTRICT Preparing for a successful future after high school starts with small town values and personalized learning experiences for all students. The Magnet Cove School District, in collaborative partnership with families and community, will provide a secure environment of educational excellence where all belong, all learn, and all succeed. Magnet Cove High School's 2019 ACT tested students scored above the state average in every category on the American College Test. The ACT consists of curriculum-based tests of educational development in English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. The ACT is designed to measure the skills needed for success in first-year college coursework. The Magnet Cove School District provides multiple avenues for students to obtain college credit at no cost to our students through Advanced Placement courses provided on the Magnet Cove High School campus and through a partnership with the College of the Ouachitas through the DEAL and Career Programs. Twenty percent (20%) of our 2019 college bound students entered college in the fall as sophomores and bypassed their freshman year of college altogether after taking advantage of these opportunities. These students accumulated a total of 462 college hours during their junior and senior years. The Magnet Cove High School Graduating Class of 2019 had twenty-six (26) college bound students that were awarded a combined total of $3,526,984.00 in financial scholarships. The average scholarship amount awarded per student was $135,653.00.
